SERIAL MEMORY - KEYS, TOKENS & PLUGS

Serial EEPROM is available with SPI, I²C and Microwire interfaces and memory capacities ranging from 1Kbit to 1Mbit. EEPROMs are ideally suited for low to medium data logging, parameter/configuration upload, data storage, and access control applications.

Serial Flash (SPI) is available with memory capacities ranging from 1Mbit to 64Mbit - the range of SPI Flash Keys and Tokens complements the Microwire and SPI EEPROM lines. These devices are page writable and are used primarily for high-volume data logging and firmware update applications.

NOTE: standard (3.3V) SPI Flash devices are recommended for all new applications. The 5-Volt Series was developed from customer demand to implement the benefit of SPI Flash devices in existing systems where only 5V is available.

NOTE: all Microwire devices manufactured after 1/1/06 use wide-voltage range
(2.7 - 5.5V) ICs. The Bulk Erase command is not supported at < 4.6V.
